The period of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine has been extended by 90 days, that is, until August 18, 2023.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted bills that proposed extending martial law and demobilizing Ukraine for 90 days. This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram on Tuesday, May 2.
“The period of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine continues from 05:30 on May 20, 2023 for 90 days, that is, until August 18, 2023. This is the seventh parliamentary vote for martial law since the beginning of war,” Zheleznyak wrote.
He added that 324 and 333 votes were cast for the respective resolutions No. 9259 and No. 9260, respectively.

Recall that on May 1, President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada bills on the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine.
As you know, on the morning of February 24, 2022, Ukraine introduced martial law for the first time after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion. Currently, martial law in the country is in effect until May 18 inclusive.
In the future, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended the period of martial law and general mobilization. The last time this happened was at a meeting on February 7th.
