In April, 5,160 new passenger cars were registered, surpassing the number for March, as well as the same period last year.
In April 2023, Ukrainians bought more than five thousand new cars, which is 14% more than in March. This was announced on May 2 by the profile association Ukravtoprom.
It was noted that last month 5,160 new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine, which is 4.3 times higher than in the past. At the same time, this indicator is almost 49% behind April 2021.
The Japanese brand Toyota holds the market leadership – 805 cars were registered in April, followed by Renault (543), BMW (439), Volkswagen (417) and Skoda (393).
The RENAULT Duster compact crossover, chosen by 508 buyers, once again became the most popular car among new passenger cars.
In total, 16.4 thousand new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine since the beginning of the year, which is 32% more than in the same period in 2022.
It was previously reported that Ukraine has banned individual license plates mentioning the Nazi or communist regimes, as well as containing symbols associated with an all-out invasion of the Russian Federation. Innovations concern, in particular, the letters “Z” and “V”.
