A major accident occurred on Monday, May 1, at a railroad crossing near Tomaszow Mazowiecki in Poland, involving a train and a car. A 44-year-old woman and a 13-year-old child died at the scene of the tragedy. This was reported by the local edition of Wprost.
At 12.39, the District Office of the State Fire Service in Tomaszow Mazowiecki received a message about a collision of a passenger car with the train Drzewica – Lodz Fabrychna at the railway crossing in Tomaszow Mazowiecki.
There are two people in the car, and 21 people in the train. According to firefighters, an Air Rescue Service helicopter also landed at the scene.
As a result of the accident, two people died – a 44-year-old woman and a 13-year-old child who were in the car.
Seven fire brigades participated in the rescue operation.
