    .

Such a resolution is adopted every year. This year’s edition mentions Russian aggression against Ukraine and Georgia.

The resolution, published on the official web resources of the UN, was adopted on April 26 with 122 votes in favor.

It was supported, in particular, by China, India, Kazakhstan and Brazil. Five countries voted against – Russia, Belarus, Nicaragua, Syria and North Korea.

The resolution calls for compensation for the damage caused to the victims of Russian military aggression and for bringing to justice all those who are guilty of violating the norms of international law.

In addition to China, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia and other countries that the Russian authorities call “friendly” – India, Brazil and Turkey, voted for the document.

Abstentions include Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran and South Africa.

Recall that last week, Chinese leader Xi Jinping held the first telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky since the start of Russian military aggression.
