The invaders continued to attack in the direction of Bakhmut, but the enemy failed to take Bakhmut under his control. This is what Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said on her Telegram channel on Sunday, April 30.
“In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy continues to attack. In the city of Bakhmut itself, fierce battles continue,” he said.
The enemy could not control the city, despite the fact that he threw all his resources into the battle and was successful in some areas, the official asserted.
“Our fighters repel many attacks and attacks in several areas. The defense of Bakhmut coped with the military tasks assigned to it,” Maliar added.
Recall that the founder of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, gave an ultimatum to the Russian Ministry of Defense: the militant threatens that his mercenaries will withdraw from Bakhmut if they are not given ammunition.
