Almost 80 hits from artillery mounts and mortars were recorded in the border communities the previous day.
On Saturday, April 29, Russian troops opened fire eight times on the borders of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, from different types of weapons, the Sever operational command reported.
In particular, from 08:50 to 09:42, 28 hits occurred near the village of Aleksandrovka, probably from 152-mm self-propelled artillery mounts.
From 09:50 to 09:55, six hits were recorded near the village of Sopich, probably from a 120-mm mortar. From 10:30 to 10:50, the invaders made seven hits, probably from the same weapon, on Arkhipovka.
From 11:30 to 11:35 in the area of the city of Seredina-Buda, there were two hits, probably from cannon artillery. From 12:10 to 13:00, ten hits were recorded, probably from the same weapon, in the area of the village of Gremyach.
From 14:30 to 15:20 the enemy made 15 hits, probably from 120-mm mortars, at Leonovka. From 15:25 to 15:45 – nine hits on the village of Studenok, probably from cannon artillery.
From 19:51 to 19:54, two hits were recorded, probably from a 120-mm mortar, in the area of Nikolaevka.
There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.
It will be remembered that the previous day, as a result of shelling in the Chernihiv region, one person died, three adults and a teenager were injured.
