The singer, who once brought Ukraine the first Eurovision victory, will perform at the contest, but from Kyiv.
Singer Ruslana, after negotiations, will still perform at Eurovision 2023, but from Kyiv, where she will have a special mission. So, all the winners are involved in Eurovision this year. This was announced by the creative producer of the Ukrainian competition German Nenov, reports Unison.
It was also learned that Zlata Ognevich will announce the points of the national jury from Ukraine at Eurovision 2023.
“Unfortunately, due to the full invasion of Russia this year, we cannot host the Song Contest at home, but no matter what – Ukraine will be live in the grand final of the show in front of our press. On May 13, live from the heart Ukraine, Zlata will announce to whom exactly our country gave the highest score,” said the head of the Ukrainian delegation to Eurovision Oksana Skibinska.
Maria Yaremchuk, Yulia Sanina, OTOY, Alyosha, Zlata Dzyunka will represent Ukraine in the first and second semi-finals, and the Kalush Orchestra, Jamala, Tina Karol, Verka Serduchka and GO_A will perform in the grand final.
As you know, the international song contest will be held in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine on May 9 and 11 (first and second semi-finals) and May 13 (grand final).
Recall that Ruslana, who in 2004 brought Ukraine the first victory at Eurovision, complained that she was not invited to perform at Eurovision 2023.
Earlier it was reported that the stars of the Ukrainian show business will perform in the Eurovision 2023 fan zone, which will open in Liverpool on May 5.
