APU: Dozens of pilots are ready to land on the F-16

Several dozen pilots are ready to fight in F-16 aircraft even tomorrow, the Air Force said.

Several dozen pilots are ready to board Western F-16 fighters. Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the command of the Air Force of Ukraine, announced this on the air of a national telethon on Saturday, April 29.

According to him, the command plans to transfer all Ukrainian pilots to the F-16.

“We have to teach everyone. But the commander of the Air Force has identified pilots who already have some level of English, combat experience, and these are young pilots. They are ready to fight even tomorrow. A political decision is needed here so now we have started the training process and personnel on the ground, these are combat control officers, military engineers. Several dozen pilots are ready to fight,” said Ignat.

Earlier it was reported that the US Democrats demanded the transfer of F-16 to Ukraine. F-16s and missiles could be key to the defense and the planned counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov invited foreign pilots with experience in flying F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

It was also reported that the legendary American F-16 pilot volunteered to defend Ukraine. He noted that many pilots want to fight in Ukraine, but this issue should be resolved at the government level.
