The Security Service of Ukraine exposed six more collaborators involved in organizing illegal referendums in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Luhansk regions. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, they voluntarily went over to the side of Russian war criminals and helped in holding fake plebiscites.

The SBU officers identified them, documented the criminal acts and detained them. During the stabilization measures in the Kherson region, five residents of the Beryslav and Kherson regions were exposed, who during the occupation of the region became part of the so-called “polling stations,” the SBU said on April 29.
Accompanied by the Russian military, the collaborators went around the houses of local residents and forced them to vote for joining the region to the aggressor country.
For their “work” collaborators were paid in rubles.
Also, as part of a special operation in the Lugansk region, a resident of the temporarily occupied Starobelsky district was detained. She organized a fake declaration of will as a “member of the territorial election commission.” In April of this year, she left for the territory controlled by Ukraine to process social payments. The SBU officers identified him in a timely manner and detained him.
Based on the collected evidence, the SBU investigators informed the malefactors about the suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
-
Part 2 Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
-
Part 5 Art. 111-1 (collaboration activity).
Three of them have already chosen a measure of restraint – detention. Investigations are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
