South Korean President Yun Seok Yol said the country is considering the option of supplying Ukraine with lethal weapons. This was reported by Reuters.
He noted that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a violation of international law and the rights of Ukrainians.
“We must prove that such attempts will never succeed in order to block further attempts in the future,” said Yun Suk Yeol.
When asked about the possibility of South Korea providing lethal aid to Ukraine, he replied:
“We are closely monitoring the situation developing on the battlefield in Ukraine and will take appropriate measures to comply with international norms and international laws. We are closely monitoring the situation and considering various options.”
It was previously reported that US President Joe Biden and the President of South Korea will discuss support for Ukraine.
Remember that the South Korean authorities do not provide weapons to Ukraine in order to maintain stable relations with the Russian Federation.
