A car drove into a crowd of people in the center of Jerusalem on Monday, April 24. Five people were injured in the incident, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Among the injured are a 70-year-old man in serious condition, a 30-year-old woman in moderate condition, as well as a 50-year-old and two 25-year-old men with minor injuries.
The attack took place near the large Mahane Yehuda market, which is especially crowded on Mondays. On April 24, Israel celebrates the Day of Remembrance for the victims of terrorist attacks, and on Tuesday, April 25, the country celebrates Independence Day.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the incident a terrorist attack, although law enforcement officials said the driver’s motive was still under investigation.
“These terrorist attacks are carried out with the hope that they will pull us out of here, if they can, they will kill us all,” he said.
It will be remembered that on April 7, a civilian vehicle was shot down in Israel. As a result of the shooting, two Israeli women were killed, and another was seriously injured.
