Residents of Russian Belgorod on Thursday night, April 20, heard a loud explosion. Later, on the street of one of the districts, the townspeople recorded a large funnel. This was reported by the local Telegram channel Zhest Belgorod.
“A large crater was formed at the Vatutin-Gubkin intersection after the explosion,” the report said.
A crater formed in the passage. However, it is not known what caused his appearance.
The shock wave threw the car onto the roof of a local shop – Pyaterochka.
Social networks say that the explosion damaged part of a residential building – fragments of a shell were found in one of the apartments. Local residents were evacuated from the scene. According to preliminary information, no one was killed.
Publicly, they also say that shortly before the explosion, the townspeople heard a whistle. The public did not specify whether this whistle could be attributed to the “transition of the aircraft to supersonic.”
