“In the distance, the remains of a Su-25 shot down by fighters of the 3rd Company of the 80th Motorized Brigade in the Lugansk region were burning an hour ago. The Stinger worked perfectly!”, He wrote in the Telegram.
According to him, the pilot of the aircraft had no time to eject. Gerashchenko added that Ukraine has five times more Stinger missiles than Russia that has planes and helicopters.
“So there will be more funerals for the native pilots! We will shoot them faster than the Russians can prepare new ones,” the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs assured.
Note that this is not the first overthrown Su-25 invaders. The damage to this aircraft was last reported on 16 May.
And on May 18, in the Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian military destroyed a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber. It happened near the city of Kupyansk.
