CNN has obtained the text of a letter sent by the US Department of Energy to the Russian state corporation Rosatom.
In it, US Department of Energy Office of Nonproliferation Policy Director Andrea Ferkile informs Rosatom’s CEO that the temporarily Russian-occupied Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant in Energodar contains nuclear technical data whose export is controlled by the United States government.
The Department of Energy warned Rosatom in a letter that any Russian citizens or organizations are not allowed to work with American technology.
Rakurs previously wrote that the Ukrainian military tried to free the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, but the attempt was unsuccessful. The Times wrote that on the night of October 19, about 600 military men with weapons, including large-caliber ones, on 30 boats tried to land on the banks of the Dnieper. The fighters from the elite troops seemed to have been given the order to start storming the nuclear power plant.
However, they say, the invaders built a very dense defense and replaced everything. And the Ukrainians did not expect that they would be seriously resisted and were forced to retreat. By the way, the occupiers themselves reported about the “assault trials” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in October last year – Kyiv has never officially recognized this.
