The head of state visited Poltava, where he discussed the security and socio-economic situation in the region, the readiness of military units to carry out tasks.
On Tuesday, April 18, President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the Poltava region, where he held a meeting on security, the socio-economic and socio-political situation in the region. The head of state said this in his video message.
“We are finishing this day in Poltava. Quite a long day. And emotional. In the morning I was in the Donetsk region, in our Avdiivka. It is difficult to see what the Russian terrorists have done in this city,” said Zelensky.
He said that in the Poltava region during the meeting he discussed important issues: security and the socio-economic situation in the region, the readiness of military units to carry out tasks. He listened to information about the operational situation in the region.
Zelensky also visited one of the medical institutions where Ukrainian servicemen are treated in the Poltava region.
There he spoke to the wounded soldiers and gave them awards.
Recall that on Tuesday morning, Zelensky visited the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka, where he heard a report from the commander of the Donetsk operational-tactical group and talked with the military.
The day before, Zelensky announced preparations for the next meeting in the Ramstein format. He expects “great decisions that meet prospects on the battlefield.”
