The head of Tatarstan (RF) Rustam Minnikhanov was not let out of the plane in Moldova, where he arrived to take part in the International Congress of People’s Diplomacy “Friendship of Peoples – 2023” in Gagauzia (an autonomous territorial entity in the south of Moldova).

This is reported by the Russian media.
Also with Minnikhanov flew the head of the Russian holding “Ak-Bars” Ivan Egorov. Their plane has already taken off from Chisinau back to Russia.
Unfortunately, the Moldovan authorities have decided that we are unwanted citizens who cannot visit this country,” Minnikhanov said. – The Tatar people and the Gagauz people are brothers. In recent years, we also had contacts, and we have big plans for mutual assistance in further development.
Minnikhanov claims that he is also recognized as an undesirable person in Moldova. At the same time, the Moldovan Border Police deny that they have declared “a Russian official who recently returned from our country” persona non grata, according to the local edition NewsMaker.
The department said that over the past day, a total of 46 foreigners were denied entry into the country.
These citizens could not substantiate the purpose of their trip, were confused in their statements, provided conflicting information about the purpose of their visit to our country, the police explained.
It is noted that Minnikhanov was invited to Moldova by a candidate for the Bashkan (highest official) of Gagauzia Viktor Petrov and socialist deputy Alexander Sukhodolsky.
The support of a candidate in the regional elections in our country is not a sufficient basis (for entering Moldova – ed.), and the authorities used to ask Russian officials to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of the country, commented on the situation in the Border Police of Moldova.
