Ukrainian artists Kalush Orchestra, Go_A, Jamala, Verka Serduchka and Tina Karol will perform in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 on May 13 in Liverpool, UK. Ukrainian stars will take the stage during the Flag Parade of 26 finalist countries. The artists will perform their entries in a new arrangement combined with classic British hits.
Together with the BBC creative team, the Public Broadcasting team is working on the creative elements of the three live broadcasts of Eurovision 2023.
Eurovision is not only performances by representatives of 37 participating countries, but also a wide program of performances with the participation of invited guests – opening numbers, interval acts, video inserts, inclusions … This year this part of the show will be rich in Ukrainian culture, because Ukraine won Eurovision – 2022, – said the head of the delegation of Ukraine at Eurovision Oksana Skibinska.
She added that technical rehearsals at the Liverpool Arena start this week.
The grand final of this year’s Song Contest will be opened by the winners of Eurovision 2022 Kalush Orchestra with a powerful performance called “Voices of a New Generation”.
We have been looking forward to our performance in Liverpool ever since it was announced as the host city of the competition last year. This is a city with a world-famous musical heritage, and we are happy that we can finally announce what an honor it will be for us to perform there … We will perform for the sake of every Ukrainian, to remind that the best times and the victory of our country are yet to come, and also to show the world what Ukraine is fighting for, – said the winners of Eurovision 2022 Kalush Orchestra.
Recall that the 67th Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted by Liverpool in May. The representative of Ukraine at Eurovision 2023 is TVORCHI, which immediately gets to the grand final of the show on May 13, where they will perform an updated version of the song Heart of Steel at number 19. The semi-finals of Eurovision 2023 will be held on May 9 and 11. Ukraine will vote in the second semi-final of the contest.
