Pasechnik was held in a hotel for a week before the award ceremony in the Kremlin in December last year.
Before the December meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the leader of the so-called “LPR” Leonid Pasechnik spent a week in a Moscow hotel without the right to leave his room. This was confirmed by an audio recording received by Radio Liberty journalists from sources in one of the Ukrainian special services.
Pasechnik shared the details of the quarantine with his assistant Alexander Soroka, who, according to media sources, was a former employee of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
The conversation took place in December last year. According to official information from the Kremlin, on December 20, 2022, Putin awarded Pasechnik the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, and also personally met with the head of the occupation administration of the Lugansk region.
“So, I have a meeting at 20. Until 19, I sat in the room without going out. They locked me here. Two-room suite. I’ve been fucking sitting for the second day already, all my sides hurt, f*ck it hurts, I already gored to lie “They don’t let you go anywhere, you have nowhere to go. They bring grub to your room. In general, I sat here non-stop until the 19th, inclusive. On the 20th, a meeting, an award,” said Pasechnik.
The audio recording also talks about the conflict within the “LPR” and Pasechnik does not control the head of the “LPR Ministry of Internal Affairs” Igor Kornet.
It was noted that the record was verified by the American National Center for Media Expertise – the educational and scientific center of the University of Colorado in Denver.
It will be remembered that in 2021, the employees of the American television company NBC, who participated in an interview with Putin, were in quarantine for two weeks before recording.
