Sanctions against a number of Russian IT companies were introduced by Ukraine on Saturday, April 15.

The sanctions list included VK Company LLC, Yandex, and the Rambler media service portal. In particular, the VK Company owns the social networks Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki and the Mail.ru portal banned in Ukraine. This is stated in the Decree No. 227/2023 signed by the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky, the Office of the President reported.
Also under the restrictions software products “1C”, “Parus” and JSC “Sitronics”, specializing in the automation of companies.
The document says that sanctions are introduced from today. Their duration is 10 years, assuming the blocking of assets, the complete cessation of trade operations and the prevention of the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine.
Recall, on April 15, President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed on new sanctions against Russia that were innate to the National Security and Defense Council. The sanctions list includes 82 figures associated with sports. In particular, this is the daughter of the Minister of Defense of Russia series Shoigu Ksenia. Restrictions were also introduced against 351 Russian scientists and entrepreneurs and 241 companies.
