A seasonal rise in the water level is observed within the rivers in the territories of the Volyn, Kyiv, Rivne, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions. This was announced on April 15 by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to the Hydrometeorological Center, there is a seasonal rise in the water level within the rivers Dnieper, Desna, Seim, Pripyat, Horyn and Western Bug in the territories of Volyn, Kiev, Rivne, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions, the press service of the State Emergency Service reports.
More than 10 thousand 500 hectares of agricultural land were flooded in Volyn, Rivne and Cherkasy regions.
In addition, as a result of rising water levels, transport links were disrupted to 30 settlements in the Chernihiv region (29) and one in the Kyiv region.
Rescuers have already pumped out about 10 thousand cubic meters. water from 74 households.
From other regions, five Bohun swamps and two boats were additionally sent to the Chernihiv region.
