The enemy has already prepared to block the Atomic personnel. The occupiers are afraid of a counter-offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and take into account the fierce shortage of professional nuclear workers needed to operate the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP. On April 14, Energoatom reported this in Telegram.
It is noted that the invaders have already delivered a lot of food and water to the station. The Ukrainian side does not rule out that the Russians will not release the station staff after one of the regular work shifts, but will forcibly block them.
Energoatom recalled that the Russians implemented a similar scenario at the beginning of a full-scale war, when they closed the station shift at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Then nuclear scientists were held hostage until the de-occupation.
Recall that on April 8, Energoatom announced that the Russian invaders were equipping a new fence on the approaches to the administrative building of the Zaporozhye NPP. Therefore, shuttle buses only reach the ring, where ZNPP workers are dropped off, and then they just have to walk.
