In the city of Mukachevo, Transcarpathian region, police and social workers arrested three girls from a dysfunctional family. This was reported by the press service of the Transcarpathian police.
Police officers of the juvenile prevention department of the Mukachevo district police department received a message that a local resident left his three children with a neighbor about a week ago and has not yet appeared.
“What happened was that the four- and five-year-old girls, as well as the youngest of them, a 5-month-old baby, were left by their mother with a 50-year-old relative with health problems. A commission consisting of social workers and police took the children to a medical facility, where they will undergo a thorough examination. The further fate of the children will be decided by employees of the local social services,” the message said.
Police also said the children’s mother has been traced and contacted. The woman was more than once brought to the attention of law enforcement and social services, and prevention talks were held with her, but she ignored her duties.
