The highest average pensions are in Kyiv, Donetsk region and Luhansk region.
The average pension in Ukraine for the first quarter of 2023 increased by UAH 615.66, or 13.3%, to UAH 5,238.25. This is confirmed by the data of the Pension Fund of Ukraine on Friday, April 14.
It is indicated that the number of pensioners in the last three months increased by 9,249 people to 10,697,170.
The highest average pensions are in Kyiv (UAH 7,129), Donetsk region (UAH 6,559) and Luhansk region (UAH 6,049). Pensioners in Ternopil region (UAH 3,997), Transcarpathian region (UAH 4,164) and Chernivtsi region (UAH 4,181) receive the lowest.
On January 1, 1,059,978 Ukrainians received more than 10 thousand hryvnias. This is 9.9% of the total number of pensioners.
According to the PFC, more than half of Ukrainians receive pensions of up to 5,000 hryvnias.
The amount of pensions is distributed as follows:

up to 2000 hryvnia – 0.6%, 67,859 people, average pension – 1,226.77 hryvnia,

from 2001 to 3000 hryvnia – 29.8%, 3,185,057 people, average pension – 2,617.17 hryvnia,

from UAH 3,001 to UAH 4,000 – 21.3%, 2,282,090 people, average pension – UAH 3,548.26,

from UAH 4,001 to UAH 5,000 – 15.3%, 1,626,671 people, average pension – UAH 4,405.09,

from UAH 5,001 to UAH 10,000 – 23.1%, 2,475,515 people, average pension – UAH 6,822.6,

more than 10,000 Hryvnia – 9.9%, 1,059,978 people, average pension – 14,587.78 Hryvnia.
Recall that since March 1, pensions have been indexed in Ukraine by 19.7% for 10.5 million pensioners. According to the Pension Fund, the average pension in Ukraine will be UAH 5,219.69.
It was also reported that from April 1, pensions for working pensioners were recalculated in Ukraine.
