Lubinets believes that the video recording of the beheading by the Ukrainian military was made public on the eve of the Ukrainian offensive to intimidate the Ukrainian military.
The Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets, appealed to Russia’s Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova about video recordings of executions of Ukrainian servicemen by Russians. He spoke about this in an interview with Radio Liberty.
“Yesterday, as a result of watching this video, in addition to official letters to international organizations and world ombudsmen, I sent a letter to Moskalkova. I do not know what the reaction will be. I do not expect anything special. But I sent a letter. Personally, I don’t talk,” he said.
Lubinets added that the video recording of the Ukrainian military mutilation was made public on the eve of the Ukrainian offensive to intimidate the Ukrainian military.
“In this way (the Russians want – ed.) to scare the Ukrainian military, which does not trample us, we will cut off the heads of everyone we catch in this way. In fact, in my opinion, it played the opposite direction And this only increases the desire of the Ukrainian military, the Armed Forces of Ukraine to liberate our entire territory as soon as possible,” the Ombudsman believes.
It will be remembered that on April 11, a video appeared on the network of Russians brutally torturing a Ukrainian prisoner of war and cutting off his head.
Vladimir Zelensky reacted to the video, and the SBU pledged to punish Russian war criminals. Ukraine also applied to the ICC over the execution of a military man.
