Head of the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE), Federico Llaque Moya, believes that Daniel Urresti could be classified today if the former presidential candidate becomes available to his institution before noon. Otherwise, he explained, only tomorrow it will be known which penalty he will take. Similarly, he considered that the penitentiary depends, among other things, on the crime in question and whether he is the main prisoner.
“If he is transferred before noon, today he will be classified as a penalty.. If he arrives after noon, tomorrow he will be classified and we will find out which penalty he is going to take. (IN Dirinkri), they will be responsible for getting him to jail INPE and, depending on the time of its receipt, classification is carried out,” he said RPP News.
“There is no need (to have a connection with Dirinkri). It depends on them. According to the logistical and security conditions, they decide when they are going to take it. Two prisoners escaped from Puerto Maldonado prison.
