Head of the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE), Federico Llaque Moya, believes that Daniel Urresti could be classified today if the former presidential candidate becomes available to his institution before noon. Otherwise, he explained, only tomorrow it will be known which penalty he will take. Similarly, he considered that the penitentiary depends, among other things, on the crime in question and whether he is the main prisoner.
“If he is transferred before noon, today he will be classified as a penalty.. If he arrives after noon, tomorrow he will be classified and we will find out which penalty he is going to take. (IN Dirinkri), they will be responsible for getting him to jail INPE and, depending on the time of its receipt, classification is carried out,” he said RPP News.
“There is no need (to have a connection with Dirinkri). It depends on them. According to the logistical and security conditions, they decide when they are going to take it. There is an account, a regulation or a directive that indicates, according to the composition of the crime, if it is primary, and various states will be classified, both personal and on the fact of the incriminated,” he added.
Two prisoners escaped from Puerto Maldonado prison.

“Measures have already been taken. Last week, I personally made a statement to myself as soon as the escape to the Puerto Maldonado prison took place. We have taken action, including the removal of the regional director, prison director and other trusted personnel. And additional steps have been taken. together with the National Police, which provides external security for the prison.”
