An Azerbaijani serviceman is detained on the territory of Armenia. This is what the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry said on Thursday, April 13.
“April 13, a second Azerbaijani serviceman was found and detained on Armenian territory,” the statement said.
It should be noted that earlier the Armenian defense department said that on April 10 an Azerbaijani serviceman was detained.
Moreover, the ministry added that, according to the detainee, there was another accomplice.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, in turn, announced the loss of two soldiers who, due to bad weather, could get lost on the ground.
It will be recalled that Baku said that on Tuesday, April 11, units of the Armed Forces of Armenia opened fire on the position of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of Lachin. As a result of the incident, Azerbaijani soldiers were also killed and wounded. At the same time, Yerevan made a similar accusation against Azerbaijan’s military.
Let’s add that Yerevan filed a case at the International Court of Justice in The Hague to obtain from Baku the opening of the Lachin corridor – the only road connecting Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh.
