Kia has announced the release of electric vans

Today, the first renderings of the South Korean company’s new commercial electric vehicles were presented.

South Korean automaker Kia is working on producing electric vans of various sizes. This was reported on the company’s official website.

The new family of vehicles will be called PBV (Purpose-built vehicles – special purpose vehicles). Production will start from 2025 in Gyeonggi Province.

Initially, 150,000 cars a year will be produced there.

It is already known that the Kia PBV electric trucks will be built on a new modular platform. And the power plant can withstand 600,000 km run.

Several model configurations were also announced: there will be cargo versions and passenger minivans in some lengths and cabin heights of up to 1.8 m.

We will remind, earlier Kia presented a new flagship crossover EV9.
