The Minister of Education commented on the possibility of returning to basic military training schools.
The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovoy said on the air of 1 + 1 TV channel that the number of subjects in Ukrainian schools should be reduced.
“The number of school subjects should be reasonable, and should not be increased, but reduced,” he said, commenting on the possibility of returning to basic military training schools.
The head of the Ministry of Education noted that there is benefit to this issue, but it is necessary to approach it in a balanced way.
“It is important for children to understand their ability to fight … We should not involve children in thinking about war. But, of course, you can provide some tools. Therefore, some level of preparation for high school students can be given,” said Lisovoy.
Recall that earlier the Minister of Education announced plans to digitize and systematically change the Ministry of Education and Science so that it becomes part of Ukraine’s defense strategy.
