In an accident in the Nikolaev region, the father of General Dmitry Marchenko, who in the first days of the Russian Federation’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, took command of the defense of Nikolaev, died. The general announced this on his Facebook page.
“Good people don’t die – they go to heaven! You are the best father and a wonderful husband! I did and did everything to make you proud of me, the worst punishment for me is your disappointment! I’m so sorry I didn’t …. I tried so hard! !!But this is the rare case when you understand that you can’t do everything! Rest in peace, dear, you are the best father and role model…!I am very grateful to the doctors of the Nikolaev emergency hospital and the Voznesenskaya hospital, who, together with me, fought for your life until the end !!!! It hurts… it hurts…,” wrote Marchenko.
