The organization is stunned by the extremely brutal videos of the atrocities of the Russians. However, such a crime is not an isolated case, since a number of violations of international humanitarian law against captured fighters have been recorded. This was announced on April 12 by the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.
Unfortunately, this is not a rare case. In recent reports, the Mission has documented a number of serious violations of international humanitarian law, including those committed against prisoners of war, according to a statement posted on the organization’s website.
The UN also stressed that all war crimes of Russians in Ukraine must be properly investigated, and the criminals themselves must be held accountable.
Recall that on the evening of April 11, a video of the brutal execution of a Ukrainian soldier by Russians appeared on the network. Subsequently, CNN found another video of the beheading of a Ukrainian military rashist.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, after the atrocities of the invaders, called for Russia to be expelled from the UN and called the aggressor country worse than ISIS (the Islamic State terrorist entity).
The Security Service of Ukraine said it had launched an investigation into the brutal murder of a captive. The head of the special service, Vasily Malyuk, assured that the security forces would get the executioners who had committed this even from underground.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted that the identity of the captured defender killed by the Russians is being established.
