On April 12th, Humorist Day is celebrated in Brazil, in honor of Francisco Anysio de Oliveira Paula Filho, better known as Chico Anysio. The date celebrates professionals who dedicate a good part of their lives to transmitting joy and relaxation to the public with talent and creativity.

1. Chico Anysio
Chico Anysio is one of the greatest icons of Brazilian humor. He was born in Maranguape, Ceará, in 1931, and started his radio career in 1950. It was on TV, however, that he stood out. In the 1960s, he participated in programs such as “Balança Mas Não Cai” and “Chico City”.
