“Deeply shocked by the brutal video of the beheading of a Ukrainian prisoner of war. This is a heinous violation of the Geneva Conventions. All perpetrators and accomplices of war crimes must be held accountable,” Borrell wrote.
The diplomat emphasized that Europe will be with Ukraine as long as necessary.
It will be remembered that on April 11, a video appeared on the network of Russians brutally torturing a Ukrainian prisoner of war and cutting off his head.
Vladimir Zelensky reacted to the video, and the SBU pledged to punish Russian war criminals. Ukraine also applied to the ICC over the execution of a military man.
