The Prime Minister will meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal arrived in Canada on a working visit. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers announced this on Telegram on Tuesday, April 11.
“Friendly Canada. A country that was one of the first to come in support of Ukraine. This week we are working here and in the United States. We will meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland,” he wrote.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that meetings with US officials and participation in the Spring Meetings are planned.
“We are preparing new arrangements and agreements to strengthen the macro-financial and economic stability of our country,” the head of government said.
It was previously reported that Shmygal was going to Canada for talks on ammunition and heavy equipment.
As you know, Canada sent a batch of Leopard 2 to Ukraine. In addition, the country will provide Ukraine with approximately 8,000 155 mm ammunition, as well as 12 anti-aircraft missiles from Canadian Forces stocks to support air defense systems.
