Portable anti-aircraft missile systems were hit by a grenade dropped by a drone controlled by Ukrainian paratroopers.
Russian weapons were discovered and destroyed by soldiers of the 79th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The place and time when these Russian MANPADS were destroyed is not specified.
MANPADS use infantry to destroy aircraft, helicopters or drones directly on the battlefield or in areas adjacent to it.
“The drone operators of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine discovered that the invaders left two Igla MANPADS in the trench, which were prepared to attack Ukrainian military aviation. They were destroyed by precise discharges, ”Mysyagin wrote in the description of the published video.
After the explosion of one of the grenades dropped by a Ukrainian drone, one of the MANPADS rockets caught fire in a solid-propellant engine, the rocket even moved several meters forward on the ground.
The burning of the first rocket led to the ignition of the second rocket, which was nearby.
An inexpensive grenade from an automatic grenade launcher, rigged to be dropped from a drone, destroyed a much more valuable weapon of the Russian occupiers.
