This UAV, according to the developers, is designed to strike at stationary targets at a distance of up to 450 km. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says the drone can carry a warhead of 50kg of explosives. This drone allegedly has already successfully passed the test. This is reported by Tasnim News.
It is noted that the new Iranian drone looks like a missile with wings, but the sound of its motor is very loud and similar to the sound of Shahed-136/131 UAVs, nicknamed “mopeds” in Ukraine.
To launch Me’raj, a car is used, which must accelerate to the takeoff speed of the drone.
Recall that the British edition of The Guardian reported that in 2022, Iran handed over to Russia a batch of long-range combat unmanned aerial vehicles. The aggressor country received six Mohajer-6 drones, as well as 12 Shahed 191 and 129 drones, which are designed for multiple use after being hit, they return to base.
