“I think if communist China invades Taiwan, which I think it will, the American people will support sending troops and Congress will follow,” the congressman said.

It was earlier reported that China has started military exercises around Taiwan. As part of the exercises, it is planned to make maneuvers in the Taiwan Strait and in the north, south and east of the island.
Notably, China condemned the meeting held in the United States between the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Kevin McCarthy, and the President of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen.
