The energy situation in Ukraine is likely to improve with the arrival of warmer weather.

British Ministry of Defence statethat Russia’s campaign to seriously disrupt Ukraine’s unified energy system in the winter of 2022-2023 has failed.

It is noted that Russia has launched long-range strikes since October 2022, but since the beginning of March 2023, large-scale attacks have become rare. Smaller strikes (less than 25 carriers) continue, but they are likely to have less impact on the system.

Ukrainian grid companies continue to procure transformers and other critical replacement parts, British intelligence said. Transporting and installing these components is a major logistical challenge, especially high-voltage transformers that weigh at least 100 tons.

The British Ministry of Defense believes that the energy situation in Ukraine is likely to improve with the arrival of warmer weather.

Recall that Ukraine continues to export electricity.

As reported, the results of the “hardest in history” heating season have been summed up.
