The NBU announced an improvement in the situation in the foreign exchange market

During the week from April 3 to April 7, 2023, the NBU bought $1 million in the interbank foreign exchange market and sold $126.34 million.

The situation in the foreign exchange market has improved: the NBU reduced the sale of dollars from reserves by 2.7 times. This was reported by the National Bank.

It was noted that the NBU bought $1 million in the interbank foreign exchange market and sold $126.34 million during the week from April 3 to April 7, 2023. The negative balance of interventions amounted to $125.34 million.

Thus, the National Bank reduced the sale of foreign currency by 2.7 times compared to last week, when it sold $343.18 million.

Since the beginning of the year, the NBU bought $62.30 million in the interbank market and sold $7,369.75 million. The negative balance of interventions reached $7,307.45 million.

Recall that the NBU has initiated measures for the stability of the foreign exchange market.
