Robert Kennedynephew of former US President John F. Kennedy, presented his candidacy for the primaries yesterday, Wednesday Democratic Party for the 2024 elections.
Kennedy, who is a lawyer and anti-vaccine activist, has submitted his candidacy to the Federal Election Commission, US media reported.
With the announcement by the son of former Senator Robert F. Kennedy, two senior politicians have already confirmed their desire to run for the 2024 Democratic nomination.
Marianne Williamsonauthor of self-help books, was the first to run for the Democratic nomination last March.
Current President Joe Biden has not officially announced that he will run for re-election.
Controversial anti-vaccine activist
Robert Kennedy69 years old, has become one of the leading voices of the anti-vaccine movement in USA hand in hand with the organization Protecting children’s healthof which he is the founder and president.
In January of this year, Kennedy, along with other anti-vaccination figures, filed a lawsuit in Texas against various international media organizations, including BBC And Reutersclaiming they worked with social media platforms to censor their content.
In 2021, Instagram closed his account on this network for spreading “debunked” claims about the coronavirus and pandemic vaccines.
