Responsibility for the explosion in St. Petersburg, which killed the “military commander” Vladlen Tatarsky, was taken by the “National Republican Army” (NRA).
The statement of the “Petersburg column of the NRA” was published by the Rospartizan telegram channel, which was also distributed by former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev living in Ukraine.
We organized and held an action on April 2, 2023 against a group of Z-activists and personally against the well-known arsonist and propagandist of war, war criminal Maxim Fomin, known as Vladlen Tatarsky. This action was prepared and carried out by us autonomously, and we have no connection and have not received assistance from any foreign structures, let alone special services, the organization said.
They emphasized that the action was not directed against civilians, but “all the victims are active supporters of the war.” Representatives of the organization also called on Russian human rights activists to help Daria Trepova, who was arrested in this case, and “other innocent people.”
In August 2022, Ponomarev reported that the National Republican Army was behind the murder of the daughter of Ukrainian-phobe philosopher Alexander Dugin Daria. Prior to the announcement, there was no mention of this organization on the Internet. Then Ponomarev was unable to provide convincing evidence of the involvement of the “National Republican Army” in the explosion of Dugina.
On April 2, the day Tatarsky was liquidated, the former deputy hinted in the media that he knew the killers of the “serviceman”, but so far he was waiting for “the official position of the group that carried out this action.”
