It was noted that the visit itself and, in particular, the speech of the Ukrainian leader in the center of Warsaw was officially confirmed in Poland.
“This is an important and very important visit. And it is a very important gesture and symbolic confirmation of brotherhood between Poles and Ukrainians, which is a reality after a year of war,” said Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Lukasz Jasina .
He added that he expects a good atmosphere in Warsaw during Zelensky’s visit.
“We also need this visit to underline how important our union has been, to show that our relations are the best in history in most aspects, that Poland is an ally of Ukraine, and Ukraine is an ally of Poland ,” the spokesperson said.
Yasina also noted that “some minor problems, such as agricultural issues, a rocket that fell on Polish territory, some still unresolved historical issues will not spoil the overall picture, which is the biggest success in our history.”
Zelensky and his wife are expected to meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, as well as Ukrainian refugees.
Recall, earlier it was reported that Zelensky will pay an official visit to Warsaw on April 5.
The other day, Zelensky discussed with Duda the situation at the front, Ukraine’s urgent defense needs and joint diplomatic efforts.
