Billionaire fortunes have dwindled in 2023, but there are still 2,640 richest people in the world, according to Forbes magazine’s annual rankings.
This year’s list indicates that in 2023 billionaires they only have $12.2 trillion, but who are they?
The surprise of the Forbes list is that neither Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and Twitter, nor Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, top it this year.
This is the 2023 president of LVMH luxury group. Bernard Arnaulttops the Forbes richest list, becoming the first Frenchman to top the list since finishing third last year.
CEO of luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Diorhas an estimated net worth of $211,000 million based on stock prices and exchange rates.
In second place is Elon Musk, head of Tesla and Twitter, with an estimated net worth of $180 billion, followed by Jeff Bezos in third place with $114 billion.
In fourth place is Larry Ellisonco-founder of software publisher Oracle with $107 billion, and in fifth place is businessman Warren Buffett with $106 billion.
Next in sixth place is Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, with a net worth of $104 billion, followed by Michael Bloomberg with a net worth of $94.5 billion.
The only Hispanic on the list Carlos Slimhonorary director of América Móvil, which has a fortune of 93.3 billion US dollars and is ranked 8th.
Finally, Forbes top 10 is rounded out by Mukesh Ambani, owner of Reliance Industries ($83.4 billion) and Steve Ballmer, former Microsoft CEO ($80.7 billion).
