Counterintelligence of the Security Service detained an agent of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of Russia in a special operation in the Dnepropetrovsk region. This was announced on April 4 by the press service of the department.
It was noted that the attacker turned out to be a local resident, who was far from being lured by Russian military intelligence into tacit cooperation.
“First of all, the enemy is interested in the locations and modes of operation of Ukrainian military aircraft in the region. aggressor about the consequences of the enemy’s air attack on the city,” – clarified the SBU.
The invaders planned to use this information to prepare and execute massive air strikes.
During a search of the defendant’s residence, a mobile phone used to communicate with the aggressor was found.
On the basis of the collected evidence, he was informed about the suspicion of treason committed under military law (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and unauthorized dissemination of information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine (part 2 of the article 114 -2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The court chose a measure of restraint for the traitor in the form of detention.
Earlier, the Security Service detained a resident of Odessa, who collected data on the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and coordinated Russian missile strikes in the Odessa region.
