The politician is supposed to appear in court to testify on April 4. He considers the proceedings “political persecution”.
Former US President Donald Trump said he will face 33 counts of criminal charges in court and called on District Attorney Alvin Bragg to resign. The politician wrote this on Telegram on April 4.
“District Attorney Bragg unlawfully disclosed the various counts and full details of a heinous indictment against me,” Trump said.
He pointed out that the prosecutor “illegally published a 33-count indictment.”
According to the former head of the White House, Bragg should resign.
“Now, if he really wanted to clear his reputation, he would do the honorable thing and, like the District Attorney, indict himself. <...> Bragg must come down immediately,” Trump said.
He emphasized that there was “no change or surprise” compared to what was “leaked” a few days ago from the jury, and “no crime” on his part.
Recall that last week a New York jury voted to indict Trump. They may be related to the “Stormy Daniels case.”
The Manhattan District Attorney has requested that the former president appear in court to testify. Trump is expected to speak on April 4.
