The battle for the T-shaped pattern in the direction of Soledar – Seversk was carried out by the K2 battalion of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Two assault groups of the enemy with a total number of more than 30 people attacked one of the positions of the Ukrainian battalion called “T-obrazka”. Two forest belts converge there and, as it were, form an imaginary letter “T”.
Eight of our brethren in this position fought an unequal battle that lasted all day. The next day, there were seven more days of continuous battalion fighting for a small piece of land, the report said.
After the attack of the tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the “T-shaped” position captured by the enemy, it turned out that Russian infantry was in the trenches. According to the prisoner, there were 28 occupiers in the position. The crew of the T-72 Sokol tank bypassed the mine barrier and broke through close to the enemy trenches.
