The Minister of Social Economy and French Associations Marlene Schiappa appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine and also gave an extensive interview on the topic of women’s rights and LGBT. She was wearing a white dress.
It is reported by France24.
According to Schiappa, a former Minister for Gender Equality, her photos and interviews are “protecting the rights of women to do what they want with their bodies: everywhere and always, regardless of whether it annoys detractors and hypocrites.”
Although she was photographed dressed, some of her colleagues, such as Prime Minister Elisabeth Bourne, were outraged, calling the Playboy photo inappropriate as political and social upheaval continues in France amid President Emmanuel Macron’s pension reforms.
At the same time, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin supported Schiappa’s decision and called it bold.
Schiappa is a regular participant in French television talk shows. She initiated legislation to ban street harassment of women when she was Equality Minister in 2018.
Then, when asked about how difficult it is to draw a line between claims and flirting, Schiappa replied:

We know very well at what point we begin to feel fear, danger or persecution on the street.
Skiappa is the mother of two children. She was a popular author and blogger to her career in politics, writing about the challenges of motherhood, women’s health and pregnancy. She also wrote a book offering sexual advice for overweight people, which some critics considered stereotyping.
