Russia returns to the “Soviet classics” – OP

In Russia today, total political repression continues, as it was under the USSR, Mikhail Podolyak said.

Russia has long returned to the “Soviet classics”. At the same time, the “remnants” of democracy are being thrown away. It was written by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Mykhailo Podolyak in Twitter on Monday, April 3rd.

“The enemies are around! The Russian Federation has returned to the Soviet classics,” he said.

Podolyak lists the following features in support of his thesis:

  • Isolation (closed borders);

  • Espionage (arrest any foreigner, especially a journalist);

  • Total political repression (arrests, speedy trials, long sentences).

“The remains of ‘democracy’ have been thrown away, the USSR is back,” the advisor to the head of the OP summed up.

Earlier, the Kremlin confirmed the tightening of rules for leaving Russia. We are talking about people working in “sensitive areas”, explained the spokesman of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov.
