Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trained on AS90 howitzers

In the UK, the second group of artillerymen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine completed their training on AS90 howitzers.

A second group of Ukrainian artillerymen completed their training on AS90 self-propelled guns in the UK. This was announced on April 2 by the Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

It noted that the training program is part of the UK’s ongoing commitment to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia.

A second group of Ukrainian artillery recruits completed their training on the heavy 155mm AS90 self-propelled gun.

The AS90 is a flexible, highly accurate state-of-the-art artillery system that provides armored protection to its crew while allowing them to engage targets at long ranges.

The Ukrainian military has received special training in all aspects of operation and maintenance of the AS90 system.

Recall that the UK intends to transfer to Ukraine a squadron of 14 Challenger 2 tanks, 20 Bulldog armored personnel carriers and 30 AS-90 self-propelled artillery mounts.

Ukrainian crews have returned home after training in Britain on the Challenger 2 tank, which is predicted to be used in a counter-offensive against the Russian army.
