The Turkish Akinci drone, developed by Baykar Makina, with a Ukrainian engine, has passed a new test.
A combat drone took off during the tests in the center, located in Chorlu, Tekirdag province. The UAV successfully hit a target in the Sinop area in the Black Sea region. The distance to the target was about 140 km. The manufacturer announced this on Twitter.
The drone eliminated the target without any problems and landed on the territory of the training center. For the first time, a drone launched the IHA-230 supersonic missile, which was developed by the Turkish company Roketsan.
Recall that in November 2022, the Turkish company Baykar, known for its Bayraktars, tested the Kızılelma unmanned fighter, which will be able to conduct a full-fledged air battle. These drones are powered by AI-25TLT turbojet engines from the Ukrainian company Motor Sich.
