Criminal activity was founded by four residents of Chernomorsk. They share goods through “bookmarks” using Telegram stores.
In the Odessa region, a wide network of sales of psychotropic substances was liquidated and more than 4.7 thousand bookmarks were seized for a total value of more than one million hryvnias. This was announced on March 31 by the regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the investigation, four residents of Chernomorsk organized the distribution of drugs and psychotropics through wholesale and retail parties on the territory of the Odessa region and other regions of Ukraine.
They sold the “goods” through so-called “bookmarks” with the help of a number of Telegram stores, as well as in personal meetings with verified buyers.
“During the execution of 15 simultaneous authorized searches at the residential addresses of the defendants, law enforcement officers obtained more than 4.7 thousand wrapped packages for” bookmarks “with cannabis, amphetamine and PVP, packaging materials, electronic scales, bank cards, foreign currency funds, mobile phones and four cars,” the prosecutor’s office said.
In addition, a whole arsenal of weapons was seized, including two Makarov pistols, 22 cartridges of various calibers, five grenades, an RPG-18 anti-tank grenade, and knives.
Members of the criminal group were informed of a suspicion of the fact of illegal trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (part 2 of article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The issue of choosing a measure of restraint is decided.
Earlier, law enforcement officials in Kyiv blocked the channel for the sale of precursors and equipment to holders of drug laboratories.
